Please find here the projects carried out by Septentrion Environnement through the three poles of activities of the structure: the SCIENCE pole, the TRAINING pole and the MEDIATION pole.
Monitoring the dynamics of gorgonian populations and associated communities
For over 15 years, the long-term monitoring of gorgonian populations on the French Mediterranean coast has been at the center of our activities. This monitoring allows us to study population dynamics, colony growth, mortality and recruitment of new colonies. We also record mass mortality events affecting gorgonian populations, and monitor the state of gorgonian-associated communities using photoquadrats.
OCCASIONAL MODULES – MEDPAN REGULAR TRAINING PROGRAM
In the framework of the "Regular Training Program" of the MedPAN network, we have co-constructed these training modules on scientific protocols for monitoring coastal ecosystems using snorkelling
